Here, you will find a few common questions and solutions to them.

How do add-on purchases get processed on Cloudbeds?

 Add-ons are not charged in the initial deposit unless it's already included in Rate Plans & Packages.

Deposits apply to the value of the reservation, excluding any separate add-ons purchased after making the room reservation.

When the guest books/purchases an add-on, you will receive an email from Cloudbeds with the reservation summary and the add-on purchase:

The add-on will be added to the guest folio depending on which option you chose "when the transaction should be posted":

  • immediately when receiving the reservation OR
  • when checking in the reservation.

How do you check how many add-on orders you have?

To check how many add-on orders you have during a specific date range, follow the steps below:

  1. Click Menu Main menu.pngand go to Classic reports Classic reports.png
  2. Click on Financial Reports
  3. Select the Transactions report

  1. Click on the filter drop-down Description
  2. Select the desired add-on only and leave the rest unselected

Where can I find the add-ons in the booking engine?

You can set your Booking Engine to show add-ons before or after check-out.

    I checked the link you provided but when I go to my settings the option to put it BEFORE check out is not there... Am I missing something?

    The early add-on is a Cloudbeds Booking Engine Plus feature. It means that to see these new settings, your property needs to switch to Booking Engine Plus: 

     

    For more information about this new version and its activation, please feel free to visit this article. Once the version is updated, the settings will display the new features.

    We can kindly suggest you try the Add-ons, Items, and Services Sold Production report in your Cloudbeds PMS. To access it, simply click on the Main menu > Reporting > Production (1), and then click on the Add-ons report (2)

  • Hi, how can I add a description to the add-on in the booking engine under the link "view details"?

    I have added the description on the item itself on Cloudbeds, however that does not come up when clicking "view details" in the booking engine add-on page.

  • How can I limit the number of add-ons sold on a given day? We have one EV charger available, so it can only be booked once each day for use.

    To limit the quantity of Add-Ons sold, you can use the Stock Inventory option.
