In Cloudbeds PMS, taxes and fees are not automatically included in the guest deposit by default. When the deposit is setup to 100%, it is collected only for the room rate, and does not account for any taxes or fees.
This article explains how to add your taxes and fees to the required guest deposit.
Include Taxes and Fees in the guest deposit
The option to include Taxes and Fees in the guest deposit is only available for Percentage or First Day Price deposit type.
- Click on Manage (gear icon)
- Click on the Policies tab
- Click on the Deposit tab
- By choosing Percentage or First Day Price options, the system will display the option to Include taxes and fees specified as part of the deposit.
- Click on this toggle to enable/disable it
- Save
