This article explains how to add guest's credit card details to their reservation manually or by using Cloudbeds Terminal.
This action does not charge the card. To add a payment to a reservation, check out:

Due to security reasons, the credit card data will only be stored up to 14 days after the check-out date. After this period, the guests’ credit card information will be deleted from the system and from our data vaults.
Access the Credit Card tab
- Access Reservations tab and search for the desired reservation.

- Access the Credit Cards tab.

Continue to Manually add the credit card details or Add the credit card details with Cloudbeds Payments terminal
If you are using Cloudbeds Payments as your payment processor, you are able to add the credit card data to a reservation using the terminal.
- Click ADD WITH TERMINAL.
- The system will prompt the current terminal connected.
On this step you can:
- Use the current terminal connected - the terminal name will be described on the following screen - go ahead and continue to step 5.
- Choose another terminal - if you have more than one terminal, click Choose Another.
- Cancel - cancel this action.

- On your terminal you will see a new screen - insert or swipe the guest's card.

The credit card details will be saved under the Credit Cards tab > Details.
The system doesn't differentiate if the card number entered is debit or credit card and will always display the card as a credit card when adding a payment on the Folio, even if the card number entered was a debit card.
