Introduction
This article explains how to hide the Base Rate on your Booking Engine so guests only see your Rate Plans or Packages. Use this setup when you want to sell rooms with Rate Plans and Packages only.
Before you start: The steps below are available only when Cloudbeds PMS is the main source of your rates and availability. If Cloudbeds PMS is not included in your package, these steps will not work. Contact our Support Team if you need help confirming your setup.
If the Amount Allotted For Sale exceeds the Remaining Inventory because overbooking is enabled in the Availability Matrix, the steps below will not hide the Standard Rate (Base Rate).

Google Hotel Search and Advanced Channel Rates
If your property uses Google Hotel Search, confirm that Advanced Channel Rates (ACR) is enabled before setting the Base Rate inventory to zero.
With ACR, availability, rates, and inventory can continue to be sent through mapped Rate Plans even when the Base Rate is not available on the Booking Engine. Because the Base Rate inventory will no longer be sent to the Booking Engine, make sure you have an active Rate Plan with availability for the accommodations you want to continue selling.
How to verify: If you are able to map Rate Plans to other OTAs, ACR is available for your property. If you are unsure whether ACR is enabled, contact Support before continuing.
Show Rate Plans and Packages only on the Booking Engine
First, confirm that the Rate Plans or Packages you want to sell have the correct room availability. Then set the Base Rate sellable inventory to zero in the Booking Engine settings.
Step 1 - Edit your Rate Plans and Packages
- Click the Rates and Availability tab.

Select Rate Plans & Packages.
- Click to edit the desired Rate Plan or Package.

- Make sure the Rate Plan is available for the Website/Booking Engine source.
- Under the Availability section, click the pencil icon for the Rate Plan interval you want to edit.
- Confirm that the Rate Plan or Package interval includes all room types you want to sell at the special rate.
- Uncheck the All option and specify the number of rooms and price for each room type.
- Click Save Interval.
- Save all changes.
Setting sellable quantity
- All unchecked: Enter the number of rooms you want to assign to the Rate Plan or Package. Only that quantity will be sold using the Rate Plan or Package. Remaining accommodations will not be displayed through that offer and can only be sold by manually adding a reservation in the system.
- Apply to all accommodations: This automatically sets the sellable quantity to the maximum number of accommodations for each room type. This is recommended unless you want to set accommodations aside for walk-ins.
Step 2 - Update the Booking Engine Settings
- From the Booking Engine Settings, go to Accommodations.
- Under Limit inventory, set the Sellable inventory to zero (0) for the room types you want to sell using Rate Plans only. This prevents the Base Rate from being displayed on the Booking Engine.
- Make sure the Limit inventory per booking toggle is OFF.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
After you save the changes, search the Booking Engine to confirm that the applicable accommodations display Rate Plan prices only and no Base Rate.
Once the Booking Engine displays the intended Rate Plan or Package prices without the Base Rate, the configuration is complete.
