The new Cloudbeds Calendar empowers every team member to tailor their workspace to their specific role and preferences. Unlike the previous version where settings were applied property-wide, all configurations in the updated interface are saved per user. This ensures that a front desk agent, a revenue manager, and a housekeeping supervisor can each maintain their own unique view on the same property.
Your personal settings are tied to your specific user profile. Any changes you make will not affect the calendar view for other staff members.

How to Access Calendar Settings
- Navigate to the Main Menu
- Select Calendar (New).
- Click the Settings (Gear icon) located in the top-right corner of the calendar toolbar.
Customization Tabs
Settings are organized into three primary tabs to help you manage data density, visual layout, and system interaction.
Display Tab
Use this tab to control the "data density" of the grid, turning it into a live dashboard that surfaces only the information relevant to your tasks.
- Daily Statistics: Toggle the visibility of high-level grid data, including Occupancy percentage, Allotment blocks, Unassigned reservations, Room rates, Room type availability, and Room type unassigned.
- Reservation Blocks: Choose to display Source icons (such as OTA or Booking Engine logos) directly on reservation bars for instant channel identification.
- Unassigned Panel: Customize the side panel to display Arrivals only to focus your daily room assignment tasks.
- Housekeeping: Manage room row density by choosing to Show badge, Show when clean, and whether to display Text in badge (e.g., Clean, Dirty, Inspected).
Appearance Tab
Adjust the visual layout to fit your monitor size and personal viewing preferences.
- Header Layout: Choose between Classic headers or Accessible headers (larger, higher-contrast text).
- Days to Show: Set your default view range to 4 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, or 3 weeks.
- Panel Width: Adjust the width of the right-side reservation detail panel to balance calendar space versus detail visibility.
- Legend: Access a built-in reference for status colors and icon meanings.
Behavior Tab
This tab serves as the "brain" of your calendar, defining how the interface responds to your inputs.
- Click Actions: Customize what happens when you click a date Header or an Accommodation unit (e.g., open details versus highlighting a row).
- Safety Features: Enable Drag-and-drop warnings to require a confirmation before any reservation move is saved, preventing accidental changes.
- Keyboard Shortcuts: Map specific actions—like opening the search bar, creating a reservation, or switching layouts—to the key combinations that match your muscle memory.
Limitations
- Individual Storage: Settings do not sync across different user accounts; each staff member must configure their own preferred view.
- Browser-Specific: Some visual preferences may need adjustment if you switch between devices with significantly different monitor sizes.
New Calendar Settings FAQ
Can I reset my calendar to the standard view?
Yes. You can click the Reset to default button at the bottom of the Settings panel to instantly return all Display, Appearance, and Behavior options to their original configuration.
Will my coworkers see the filters I apply?
No. Because all settings and filters are saved per user, your visual adjustments are private to your session and will not interfere with your team's workflow.
Do I need to click "Save" every time I change a setting?
While many visual toggles update in real-time, you should click the Save filters or Close button at the bottom of the panel to ensure your preferences persist for your next login.
