We have introduced a unified and user-friendly Reporting menu in Cloudbeds PMS, making it easier to find all your reports in one place.
This article explains the consolidated Reporting section and how it organizes access to your Classic Reports and Cloudbeds Insights.
Overview
Cloudbeds has consolidated all reporting tools under a single Reporting menu item in the PMS navigation. This structure reduces confusion between Classic Reports and Insights so that you can quickly locate the reports you need.
- All reporting options are located under the Reporting section of the PMS menu.
- Cloudbeds Insights and Classic Reports (Standard Reports) are grouped together instead of being split into separate areas.
- Customers with paid Cloudbeds Insights (Report Builder) see a Builder label next to Cloudbeds Insights.
- There are no changes to how reports work: data, permissions, and filters remain the same.
What changed in the menu
Previously, the PMS navigation showed Cloudbeds Insights and Classic reports in different sections of the menu. This could make it appear as if Cloudbeds had two separate reporting systems.
- Before: Cloudbeds Insights was listed under Reporting, while Classic reports appeared as a separate menu item.
- After: A single Reporting section includes Cloudbeds Insights, Production Reports, Financial Reports, Payment Reports, Daily Activity Reports, Government & Police Reports, and Stock & Inventory Reports.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I switch back to the previous Reporting menu layout?
Switching back to the old Reporting menu layout is not an option. This change is part of Cloudbeds’ long-term effort to unify reporting into a single place in the PMS menu.
While the location of the menu items has changed, all of your existing reports remain available and work the same way as before.
Will my existing reports continue to work the same after the menu change?
Yes. There is no change to how your reports work. All report data, filters, permissions, and calculations remain exactly the same.
Saved reports, scheduled reports, and any existing report settings are not affected. This update changes only where you access reports in the PMS menu, not how they behave.
How does this update affect Cloudbeds Insights and Standard (Classic) Reports?
Cloudbeds Insights itself has not changed. If you are a paid Insights customer, you see a Builder label next to the Insights link, indicating access to the report builder.
Standard (Classic) Reports also remain fully functional and unchanged. The only difference is that they are now accessed through the unified Reporting menu instead of a separate menu item.
Why has Cloudbeds updated the Reporting menu layout?
This update is part of a broader effort to create a more unified reporting experience at Cloudbeds. Previously, having reports split between Classic Reports and Cloudbeds Insights could make it appear as if there were two separate reporting systems.
By consolidating everything under a single Reporting menu, it becomes easier and faster to find the information you need, reducing confusion and improving daily workflows for your team.
Does this Reporting menu update impact my pricing or billing?
No. This is a user interface improvement only. Your pricing, billing, and subscription plan are not affected by this change.
All existing access to reports remains the same, and there is no additional cost associated with the new Reporting menu layout.
Do I need to switch to Cloudbeds Insights because of this update?
No. You are not required to switch to Cloudbeds Insights if you do not wish to. You can continue using your Standard (Classic) Reports as you do today.
The consolidation only changes the navigation path. It does not force you to change which reporting tools you use or how you use them.
What should I do if I can’t find a report after the menu changes?
First, make sure you are looking under the new consolidated Reporting menu in the PMS navigation. Many reports that were previously in separate sections are now grouped there.
If you still cannot find a specific report or believe something is missing, please contact Cloudbeds Support. Our team can help confirm where the report appears or investigate any potential issues.
