This article walks you through how to manage your rates and availability on the Cloudbeds calendar and clarifies which updates can be made directly on the calendar versus those that must be handled in the Availability Matrix.
Rate changes
You can update your rates from the calendar:
- Click on rate and type a new price
- Confirm.
Cloudbeds PMS calendar syncs with channel manager so all the changes will be reflected there as well as on the connected channels.
About Historical Rates
Once a rate is saved in Cloudbeds, it remains stored. Cloudbeds does not remove or reset historical rates. If past dates ever display a rate of “0”, it means an external update — such as a bulk edit, an API request, or a connected revenue management system (for example, PriceLabs) — pushed that zero value to the calendar.
Cloudbeds does not reset historical rates to “0”. Zero values usually appear only when an external update is sent to the calendar.
- A connected revenue management system (such as PriceLabs) pushed a 0-rate update.
- An API integration sent a 0 value.
- A manual long-term interval or bulk-edit action updated the rates.
Availability changes
The amount allotted for sale, rates for long term intervals, restrictions can only be updated on the Availability Matrix
