⚠️Important Warning: Configuration of COMtrol Integrations
Due to the technical complexity of the COMtrol solutions, please be aware of the following before beginning the configuration process:
1. Expect a Technical and Lengthy Setup
- Complexity: The vendor-specific configuration within COMtrol is highly technical and can be tricky. This is not a quick, self-service setup.
- Time Commitment: You must plan for a longer setup process than a standard integration. Cloudbeds will work diligently to assist, but external factors will extend the required time.
- External IT Required: You may need to dedicate time from your internal IT department or secure the services of an external technical resource to successfully complete the configuration.
2. Required External Support
- Vendor/Reseller Expertise is Critical: The most valuable resource for troubleshooting and specific configuration details will be the vendor or vendor reseller from whom you purchased the external software.
- Actionable Tip: To limit complexity and speed up the process, we strongly recommend you get your vendor or vendor reseller involved early in the setup process. They are often the only party who can answer specific configuration questions.
- Support Limitations: While Cloudbeds is committed to supporting this connectivity, please understand that we do not have a direct support relationship with every external vendor connecting through COMtrol, and COMtrol support itself will not assist in these specific configurations.
