In this article you will learn how to change the check-in or check-out dates for direct reservations made on mybookings or within myfrontdesk system.
Reservations received through the distribution channels should be modified inside of the OTA's extranet first, and then inside the PMS.
In Cloudbeds, if the channel is connected through API, the modification will be forwarded to the system. The original reservation will get updated automatically if the OTA reservation ID and source match.

Editing the Room Rate
Please note that the steps below only apply for future reservations. If you need to update past reservations rates (already posted to guest's folio), please check out this article: How to Adjust Charge / Add Adjustment to a Reservation
- Access the reservation that you need to edit and click the gear icon
- Click 'Edit Price'
- Update the future dates price as needed
- Click 'Save Updates'

Please note that the steps below only apply for future reservations. If you need to update past reservations rates (already posted to guest's folio), please check out this article: How to Adjust Charge / Add Adjustment to a Reservation
- Access the reservation that you need to edit and click 'Edit Reservation'

- On the left side, click on the Accommodation to edit

- Click 'Edit' on the corresponding room type line. In this example, we are using the Private Room

- Edit the room rates as needed
- Once you finish, click 'Apply'
- Then, click 'Update'
- Click 'Save Updates' on the bottom right side to save your changes
Editing the reservation date
This option will be useful for extending reservations for a short period of time.
- Access the reservation that you need to edit and click the gear icon
- Click 'Quick Edit'
- Modify the reservation's date by checking/unchecking the checkboxes and select the new reservation date
- Click 'Save Updates'

Please note that you need to select consecutive dates - It's not possible to have gaps between the selected dates.

This option will be useful for long stays
- Access the appropriate reservation and click to 'Edit Reservation'

- On the left side, select the room
- Select the new check in and check out dates
- Click 'Search' to check the availability
- Select the room and click 'Update' (if desired, you can also switch the room type)
- The reservation will be updated on the left side - double check if everything is correct
- Click 'Save Updates'
