Connect Hostelworld to Cloudbeds PMS

Hostelworld is a leading OTA for hostel-focused accommodations worldwide with 12+ million guest reviews and 40,000+ listings in nearly 180 countries. Hostelworld aims to be a leader in social travel via their booking options and mobile app, addressing the needs of guests who want to make connections with others as they experience the world around them. Their app and website operate in 20 different languages.

Hostelbookers is managed through Hostelworld. If you have a Hostelbookers account, it will be automatically connected and managed through your Hostelworld account inbox.

Connect Hostelworld to Cloudbeds PMS

Step 1 - Getting Started
  1. Go to the Distribution page
  2. Open the Discover tab and search for Hostelworld  
  3. Click to View channel
  1. If you do not have an account with Hostelworld: Click to create new account. After the property is configured in Hostelworld extranet, proceed with step 2.
  2. If you already have a Hostelworld account: Continue with Step 2 below.
Step 2 - Select/Enable Cloudbeds channel manager as your channel manager

2.1 - Contact Hostelworld market support

Reach out to Hostelworld Support requesting the activation of connection between Hostelworld and Cloudbeds Channel Manager for your property (name, id and details).

If you intend Cloudbeds Import services, ask the Hostelworld support team to not delete your availability in their inbox, otherwise, there will be nothing to import.

You can find you account manager contact details in your Hostelworld account.

2.2 - Notify Cloudbeds support team

Once Hostelworld notifies that the connection is active, you must inform our Support Team with the following details:

  • Full Property Name
  • Hostelworld Inbox ID (usually 4 or 5 digits)
  • Mention that the connection between Hostelworld and Cloudbeds channel manager is active
  • Define the currency setup in Hostelworld

As soon as the connection is complete on both sides (Hostelworld and Cloudbeds channel manager) we will respond to your email confirming that the channel is ready for mapping and you can proceed with Step 3.

Step 3 - Start mapping Hostelworld in Cloudbeds PMS

In the Distribution Channels page, Hostelworld should be marked as ready for mapping.

  1. Click to complete mapping
  1. Login to your account
  1. Map the room types created in Cloudbeds with their corresponding rooms in Hostelworld. A drop-down menu will display all the existing rooms in the channel's extranet.

Do not map multiple rooms to one single room in Cloudbeds PMS or channel. The room mapping must be one-to-one.

  1. Click to Configure the rate plan(s) you want to sync between this system and Hostelworld. You must map at least one rate plan per Channel Accommodation Type to ensure proper rate sync.

You can create multiple rate plans for each room type and have those sync to Hostelworld. Click here for further information.

  1. Add Base Rate Adjustment for each room type, if needed. Click to continue when completed or if you want to skip this step.

The mapping is complete.
