Extension Kit by Mecx-Tech allows you to process payments, issue keycards, and use an ID/Passport scanner when running the application on an Android tablet or some features via a Windows OS computer. Features will depend on the device you use.

Devices:

  • Smart Card Reader - for Thai ID (90% of the devices in the market are compatible(Windows OS)
  • Passport Scanner - For Passports. Recommended brands are Plustek and Sinosecu(Windows OS)
  • Android Tablet - For self-check-in, registration cards, e-signature, and payment gateway. Recommended brands are Xiaomi and Samsung; Huawei is not recommended (Android 12+)
  • Kiosk PC - For self Check-in, registration cards, e-signature, and payment gateway (Android 12+)

Limitations:

  • It runs with an Android tablet with a SIM that can connect to the Internet, a Wi-Fi network, or a Windows OS computer.
  • Devices can be purchased directly from Mecx-Tech. You may opt to secure your own device, but we cannot guarantee compatibility until Mecx-Tech tests it.

Mikrotik Wifi by Mecx-Tech automatically creates WIFI credentials for guests once their reservation status changes to In-House. Guests can then use the Internet by entering the “room number” as a username and their “last name” in lowercase as a password. The room password will be reset after the reservation has been checked-out.

Limitations:

  • It runs on Windows only, and it requires the installation of an integrator app.
  • It does not support sending WIFI charges to the reservation folio.
  • The integration does not send the guest the WIFI credentials. The hotel staff should provide them.

The itinerary of any booked activity is synced as a reservation note, and any charges due are sent to the reservation folio or House Accounts. Any changes in the itinerary are synced with the reservation note, and transactions can be voided in the folio or the House Accounts. The Planniac Housekeeping module pulls room status and ETAs from Cloudbeds, which assigns rooms to Housekeepers and updates the housekeeping status (clean/dirty) and the DND preference.

It requires Think Simplicity's SimplyVX hardware and services to be installed at the hotel prior to the connection.
