Cloudbeds PMS Not Loading or Running Slowly - Troubleshooting

There can be several reasons why the Calendar or another part of Cloudbeds PMS is not loading or is running slowly. These issues are often related to the local internet connection, browser, device, or security configuration.

Follow the troubleshooting steps below to determine whether the issue is related to Cloudbeds or to your local environment before contacting Support.

Cloudbeds may perform automated maintenance and background processing during overnight hours. You may occasionally notice slower performance during these periods.

Before troubleshooting

Check the Cloudbeds Status Page

Before changing your browser, device, or network settings, check whether Cloudbeds is already investigating a known service issue.

  • Visit the Cloudbeds Status Page.
  • Check whether a warning or service notification appears inside Cloudbeds PMS.
  • If an active incident is listed, follow the updates on the Status Page instead of completing the local troubleshooting steps below.

Troubleshooting Checklist

1. Check your internet connection speed

Symptoms: Pages take too long to load, or Cloudbeds does not load at all.

  • Visit fast.com to test your connection speed.
  • Take a screenshot of the result in case you need to contact Support.
  • Try loading other websites. If all websites are slow, your internet connection may be the issue.
  • Restart your router or modem.
  • If the issue persists, contact your internet service provider and report the slow or unstable connection.

2. Try another device or network

Goal: Determine whether the issue is specific to your device or network.

  • Try loading Cloudbeds on a different device connected to the same network.
    • If Cloudbeds loads correctly on the second device, the original device or browser may be causing the issue.
  • Try loading Cloudbeds on the same device while connected to a different network, such as a mobile hotspot.
    • If Cloudbeds works correctly on the other network, your regular network, firewall, proxy, or security configuration may be causing the issue.

3. Ensure your browser is up to date

Goal: Confirm that you are using a current, vendor-supported browser version. Outdated browsers may cause login, loading, security, or compatibility issues.

Cloudbeds supports current versions of the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari

For complete operating system, browser, hardware, and connection requirements, see Cloudbeds System Requirements.

Browser update information

Try opening Cloudbeds in Google Chrome. If Cloudbeds works correctly in Chrome but not in your usual browser, the issue may be specific to that browser.

4. Review browser extensions and security software

Browser extensions, antivirus applications, ad blockers, VPNs, and other security tools may block Cloudbeds components or affect performance.

  • Open Cloudbeds in Incognito or Private mode to temporarily prevent most browser extensions from running.
    • If Cloudbeds works correctly in Incognito or Private mode but not in a normal browser window, a browser extension may be interfering with Cloudbeds.
  • Check whether any of the following tools are installed or enabled:
    • CrowdStrike Falcon Extension
    • Perception Point Security Extension
    • Ad blockers
    • VPN extensions
    • Firewall or browser-security extensions

If you identify a conflicting tool, ask your company's IT team to whitelist Cloudbeds domains in the tool's configuration.

Do not permanently disable applications used to protect your device. You may temporarily disable a tool for testing, but it should be enabled again after the test.

If a security application is preventing Cloudbeds from loading, include the application's name when contacting Support so the issue can be investigated.

5. Whitelist Cloudbeds domains in security tools

If your organization uses corporate antivirus, proxy, firewall, phishing protection, or browser-security tools, ask your IT department to whitelist the following domains:

*.cloudbeds.com
*.myfrontdesk.com
*.myallocator.com
*.pendo.io
*.zendesk.com

Whitelisting helps ensure that security and analytics tools do not block Cloudbeds components or slow down page loading.

6. Clear your browser cache and cookies

Cached data may cause outdated files to load or conflict with newer Cloudbeds updates.

  1. Open your browser settings.
  2. Go to Privacy and Security and select Clear browsing data.
  3. Select Cached images and files and Cookies.
  4. Clear the selected data.
  5. Restart the browser and reload Cloudbeds.

7. Check your DNS settings

The Domain Name System (DNS) converts domain names into the IP addresses browsers use to load websites. Incorrect, unavailable, or slow DNS servers may delay how quickly Cloudbeds loads.

Google Public DNS addresses are:

8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

Changing DNS settings affects your device or network configuration. Ask your company's IT department or internet service provider for assistance when necessary.

To update your DNS settings, select your operating system and follow the instructions in How to Update the DNS of the Network.

Summary of Common Loading Causes

Category Common issue Recommended fix
Internet Low bandwidth or an unstable connection Test your connection at fast.com or try another device or network.
