On the Security page, property owners can manage access permissions and passwords for viewing guest credit card details. This article provides an overview of this page and explains how to perform these security-related actions.
Access and Overview
Only users with the Property Owner role have access to the Security page. Before proceeding, confirm your account has this role.
The Property Owner can:
- Grant credit card viewing access to other users
- Reset users’ credit card viewing passwords
- Set users’ auto log-out time
To access this page:
- In your Account menu, go to the Settings Page and click on the Users section.
- Click on Security.
Security Actions
In the User Security Settings, select the desired user and click the Actions button to perform one of the following:
- Set/Reset Credit Card Password: Sends a password reset link to the user’s registered email to update their credit card viewing password.
- Grant Credit Card Viewing Access: Allows the selected user to view guest credit card data.
- Set Auto Logout (minutes): Defines a time period after which inactive users are automatically logged out of Cloudbeds PMS.

- The Property Owner can view credit card data by default — this permission cannot be revoked.
- However, the Property Owner must still set up a password to view this data. Learn how to grant and set up a credit card viewing password .
