How are Cut-off and Last-minute booking settings different?

Follow

In this article, we will go over the differences between the cut-off and last-minute booking settings.

At the moment, Cut-off and Last Minute Booking restrictions are only supported by Google Hotel Search, TripAdvisor and Booking.com.

These two options are part of our Rate Plans & Packages feature. To learn about this, please see How to Add Rate Plans and Packages.

Cut-Off Setting

This feature allows you to configure how many days before the arrival date guests are supposed to book. It is mainly used for properties that want to have a lot of advanced bookings by offering a heavily discounted rate if guests book at least an x amount of days in advance.

Important: adding your minimum and/or maximum length of stay will allow you more control on this offer.

For example:

Suppose you have set up booking cut off to "3 days." If a guest is looking to book for May 4th, your guest will only be able to book (or see availability) before May 1st.

Last-Minute Booking setting

This feature allows you to configure how many days before the arrival date guests can book. It is mainly used to boost last-minute reservations.

Important: adding your minimum and/or maximum length of stay will allow you more control on this offer.

For example:

Suppose you have set up last-minute booking to "3 days." If a guest is looking to book for May 4th, your guest will only be able to book (or see availability) after May 1st.

**NOTE: If the departure date is out of package rate range, the guest will be charged the base rate instead of the package prices.
