Guest Reporting
Current Mandates:
- TM30 is a form that must be filed to report the location of foreign visitors in Thailand to immigration authorities.
- It is the responsibility of the owner of the place the foreigner is staying (hotel, apartment, private residence, etc.) to file the TM30.
- The TM30 must be filed within 24 hours of a foreigner checking in to a new location.
- The regulation applies to all foreign nationals staying in Thailand, including tourists, expats, and those with work permits or visas.
- While the TM30 rule has been in place for decades, it has been more strictly enforced since 2019.
- RR4 Report:
- The purpose of the RR4 report in Thailand is to provide international guest information to the nearest police station for verification. This report is designed for hoteliers in Thailand who need to submit this information to comply with Thai immigration department rules. The RR4 report is not directly related to the TM30 report, which is a notification from the landlord or hotel owner as to where a foreigner has stayed during their short or long-term stay in Thailand.
Cloudbeds has the RR4 report available for download.
