Connect Hopper to Cloudbeds PMS

 Things you should know before you get started:

  • Hopper integration allows you to create a new Hopper property from Cloudbeds PMS.
  • If you are already listed in Hopper, you do not need to create a new Hopper account/listings in their extranet. Follow this guide below and the channel will link your existing account afterwards.

 This guide is for connecting the Hopper channel and doesn't apply to Hopper Homes, which offers only an iCal connection and is available exclusively in the United States. To connect to Hopper Homes, you must import your listings from Airbnb and sync calendars via iCal to Cloudbeds.

How to connect Hopper to Cloudbeds PMS

Step 1 - Getting Started
If you don't have an account with Hopper yet
  1. Reach out to Hopper to sign a contract at hotelpartnerships@hopper.com
  2. After the contract is ready, create a Hopper account through Cloudbeds PMS. Click to Begin Setup as shown below and proceed to step 2.
If you already have an account with Hopper
  • You need to set up a Hopper account through Cloudbeds PMS. Click Begin Setup and follow the subsequent instructions. Once the setup is complete,  proceed with the following steps;
  • Contact your Hopper account manager;
  • Inform them of your intention to connect Hopper via Cloudbeds;
  • If you don't have a designated Hopper contact, email hotelpartnerships@hopper.com.
Step 2 - Create your Hopper account through Cloudbeds PMS
  1. General Property Details - Currency (Cloudbeds default currency)
  1. Property Information - Property Information is pre-populated from your property profile.
  2. Per Person Pricing.
  1. Property Location is also pre-populated from the property profile. After pressing the Continue button to proceed to the next step, a new modal is displayed which notify a user about a new listing creation, this process might take up to 2 mins, so a user has to wait for a message about successful listing creation before continuing to set up the channel.

Then your account will be created:

Step 3 - Configure Hopper in Cloudbeds PMS
  1. Click to Configure each accommodation.
  1. Hopper Accommodation Name
  2. Maximum occupancy
  3. Select Rate Plans to sync

  1. Rate Plan Configuration - This step displays all rates which were chosen for Hopper during accommodation configuration. You should specify whether a rate is refundable or non-refundable.
  1. Click the pencil button to change a cancellation policy, and set it up in the new pop up
  2. Select if the Rate Plan is refundable:
    7.1. Set up Penalty and Condition and Save
Google Keep - Google Chrome
  1. Taxes and Fees: use the Reservation Sources page to configure taxes and fees for the Hopper third-party source. Once configured, these taxes and fees will be sent to the channel for display to guests, as well as applied to all reservations received into this system for source: Hopper.

Once you have completed tax and fee configuration for the Hopper third-party reservation source, you may continue channel listing setup. If you do not wish to setup taxes and fees for this channel, you can move to the next step.

  1. Add Base Rate Adjustment for each room type, if needed. Click Next when completed or if you want to skip this step.
  1. Almost ready - Your listing is now pending approval from the Hopper Operations Team, which typically takes 48 hours.
  2. During this period, your listing will not be live. Once approved, your listing will be activated, and you'll receive an email. Thank you for your patience.
  3. Click to Finish.

 After Hopper's connection is completed:

  • After completing the Confirmation page, Hopper channel enters the Pending approval phase, which typically takes around 48 hours or more. During this time, you won't be able to make changes.
  • Note that if your property does not have a contract with Hopper, the onboarding process cannot begin. To initiate the process, follow the step 1.
