Mecx-Tech Payment Gateways Overview

Use this when	You need to review Mecx-Tech payment behavior, regional provider availability, or the information required to connect a provider.
Requirements	An active account with your selected bank or payment provider and the credentials listed for that provider.
Expected result	You can identify a supported provider, understand the applicable payment workflows, and prepare the required integration information.
Limitations	Mecx-Tech and other custom payment gateways are not currently supported in the Cloudbeds Booking Engine Immersive Experience 2.0.

Cloudbeds partners with Mecx-Tech, a payment integration switch that connects your Cloudbeds account to multiple payment gateways. Use this overview to understand the available payment workflows, identify providers available in your region, and confirm the credentials required before starting the connection process.

Mecx-Tech Immersive Experience compatibility

Mecx-Tech and other custom payment gateways are not currently supported in the Cloudbeds Booking Engine Immersive Experience 2.0.

If your property relies on Mecx-Tech for payments, use the hosted Cloudbeds Booking Engine to ensure the payment features work correctly.

Our team is actively working on a long-term strategy for custom payment gateway support and will provide updates as new solutions become available.

Payment gateway functionality

Mecx-Tech integrates Cloudbeds with multiple payment gateways. The integration supports the following workflows:

Booking engine integration: When guests complete a reservation through the Cloudbeds Booking Engine, they are automatically directed to a payment page. Once the guest completes the payment, the reservation is confirmed and the payment is recorded in the Cloudbeds reservation folio.

If the guest does not complete the payment, the reservation is created with the Confirmation Pending status. The guest can still complete the payment using the link sent by email. If payment is not completed within the timeframe configured in Mecx-Tech, such as 24 hours, the reservation is automatically canceled.
Pay-by-link: For other reservations, such as reservations received from an OTA, a payment-link email can be sent manually to the guest. After the guest completes the payment, the payment is recorded and the reservation is automatically confirmed.

If payment remains pending for 24 hours, the reservation is automatically canceled.

Before getting started, make sure you have an active account with your selected bank or payment provider. Mecx-Tech does not complete the provider registration process on your behalf.
