This article explains how to add an action/ interaction Facebook button and link it to your Cloudbeds Booking Engine page.
Overview
A Facebook interaction button works as a first point of communication with your potential guests. It can also redirect them to your booking engine to book a room at your property, which is a great solution, especially on mobile devices.
Things to note:
- The Book Now button is no longer available for external links, it is reserved for tools connected to Facebook.
- Before adding a call-to-action button, make sure that your Facebook page type is a business page, and not a personal profile. The Booking Engine link cannot be added to a personal profile. Learn more about the types of Facebook profiles and pages here.
- In your Account menu, go to the Settings and click on the Booking Engine
- In the Summary tab, copy your Booking Engine URL
On your Facebook page:
- Click on the three little dots button ( ⋯ ), below your page's cover photo. If your action button has been previously configured, simply click on the button and select Edit Button
- Click on Edit Action Button
Note that action/interaction button names may be slightly different depending on your current Facebook version.
- Select an Action Button. Choose Contact Us or Learn more (under Link to your group or app section) as they allow you to link to a website.
- Click Next
- Add your booking engine URL from Step 1 - Copy your Cloudbeds Booking Engine link
- Click Save
Your potential guests will see the action button on your Facebook profile. By clicking on this button (Contact us, in this example), they will be redirected to your Booking Engine page:
