SMS Carriers often filter the messages automatically if they are identified as spam. Here are some tips to improve SMS message deliverability and avoid spam blocks.
1 - Identify the Sender
Start your message with the name of your hotel. Identify the sender first in the message as this will help the carrier differentiate this traffic from bad actors.
"The Whistle Hotel: Hello Brent, Welcome to The Whistle Hotel and our automated check in."
2 - Add Opt-Out language to the end of the messages.
Add the option to opt-out from SMS messages if the guest prefers, such as "Reply STOP to unsubscribe".
