Add both providers for full coverage. Each provider tile shows which document types it supports.

  1. Select Invopop SDI Invoicing from the provider dropdown
  2. Fill in Company Details:
    • Legal name

Currencies & Customization Tabs

Review and complete as needed:

  • Currencies: Confirm the currency configuration (typically EUR for Italian properties)
  • Customization: Leave as default unless instructed otherwise

Completion indicator: The provider tile will show a progress indicator. Every section must be complete before the provider is active.

Step 3: Configure Invopop Scontrino Elettronico (Smart Receipts)

This provider enables simplified invoices for incomplete payer details.

Registration Tab

  1. Click Invopop · Scontrino Elettronico and select it from the dropdown
  2. Fill in Company Details:
    • Legal name
    • Street address
    • City
    • Province
    • Country
    • Postal code
    • Codice Fiscale (your company's fiscal code)
  3. Click Save

The following example shows the Registration tab for the Invopop · SR provider and the company information used for setup.

Authentication Tab

This tab is unique to Scontrino Elettronico and holds your Agenzia delle Entrate credentials.

Important: Credentials must come from the official Agenzia delle Entrate portal and must be fully working before entry.

  1. Enter Fiscal ID (your AdE user ID)
  2. Enter Codice Fiscale (your company's fiscal code)
  3. Enter Password (AdE portal password)
  4. Enter PIN (AdE portal PIN)
  5. Optionally enter Notification Email for AdE alerts
  6. Confirm AdE Issuer Attestation: Check the box confirming your property is registered with the Agenzia delle Entrate as a commercial-receipt issuer
  7. Click Save

Note: Passwords and PINs are not stored for display. Saving new values replaces the existing credentials.

The Authentication tab below shows where the Agenzia delle Entrate credentials are entered and indicates when credentials are already on file.

  • Select each payment method
  • Assign the corresponding Italian fiscal code
  • Click Save

AdE Authorization

After completing the Authentication tab, Cloudbeds surfaces a link to Invopop's hosted Agenzia delle Entrate authorization page.

  1. Click the authorization link
  2. Complete the external authorization process (you'll be directed to the AdE portal)
  3. Return to Cloudbeds
  4. The Scontrino Elettronico provider will activate

During authorization, you are directed to the Agenzia delle Entrate Access the reserved area page and use the Fisconline/Entratel sign-in option.

Credentials expire every ~90 days. Set a calendar reminder to refresh them before expiry, otherwise simplified invoices will stop being issued.

Step 4: Enable Simplified Invoices (Optional)

If you want to offer simplified invoices for amounts below a threshold:

  1. Go to Settings > Finance > Invoices and Documents
  2. Scroll to Simplified Invoices section
  3. Toggle Enable simplified invoices to ON
  4. Enter Maximum Amount (e.g., €500 or €1,000 depending on your accountant's guidance)
  5. Select When threshold is exceeded:
    • Show notice only: Agent sees a notice but can still issue a simplified invoice
    • Warn agent to switch to full invoice: Agent receives a warning; simplified button becomes blocked
  6. Click Save

The following example shows Enable simplified invoices turned on, with a threshold amount and the action to take when the threshold is exceeded.

Invoices and Documents settings showing Enable simplified invoices selected, a threshold amount of 3000 euros, and Warn agent to switch to full invoice selected when the threshold is exceeded

Note: Simplified invoices can only be issued for posted transactions. Charges must be posted to the folio before the option appears.

Step 5: Classify Taxes and Fees

Tax classification determines how charges are reported to the Italian authority and cannot be corrected retroactively once submitted.

  1. Go to Settings > Finance > Taxes and Fees
  2. Review the Classification column for every tax and fee:
Charge Type Must Be Classified As Result
VAT (22%, 10%, 5%, 4%) VAT Reported at the applicable rate
Tourist tax (imposta di soggiorno) Municipal Tax Sent at 0% with exemption code N1
  1. For each tax/fee, click to edit and set the correct classification:
    • Standard VAT rates → Select VAT
    • Tourist tax → Select Municipal Tax
  2. Click Save

The following example shows the configured VAT classifications and the Tourist tax classified as Municipal Tax.

Taxes and Fees settings showing VAT classifications for 4, 5, 10, and 22 percent rates and Tourist tax classified as Municipal Tax

Critical: If tourist tax is left classified as VAT, it will be reported as taxable revenue to the Agenzia delle Entrate. Verify this before issuing any invoices.

Step 6: Confirm Setup is Active

After completing all configuration steps:

  1. Return to Settings > Fiscalization
  2. Look at the status panel. It should show:

✅ "Your fiscal setup is active"

The panel displays both channels (SDI and Smart Receipts) with a Registered status.

Fiscalization status panel showing Your fiscal setup is active, SDI and SR with two providers, and Registered status

If setup is not active:

  • Check that both provider tabs are fully completed (Registration, Tax Codes, Payment Methods)
  • Confirm the AdE authorization step was finished for Scontrino Elettronico
  • Verify all required fields are filled in
  • Ensure the Simplified Invoices setting is enabled (if using that feature)

Once active, new invoices will be transmitted to the appropriate platform automatically.

Troubleshooting Setup Issues

Issue Solution
Provider won't activate Verify all required fields are complete: company details, tax codes, payment methods (mapped on both providers if using both). For Scontrino, confirm AdE credentials are valid and authorization step is finished.
AdE authorization link not appearing Complete all fields in the Authentication tab first, then save. The link will appear once the tab is saved.
"Invalid credentials" error AdE credentials must come from the official Agenzia delle Entrate portal and must be fully working. Contact the AdE or your accountant if credentials are not working.
Tax code not available Verify you've selected the correct Italian tax category for your rate (e.g., "General VAT" for 22%). If the category is missing, contact Cloudbeds Support.
Payment method missing from dropdown Add the payment method to your property's general payment method list first (Settings > Payment Methods), then return to the Fiscalization tab and map it.
