Introduction

Use Site Comments in the Cloudbeds Websites Editor to leave feedback directly on the page while reviewing your website with a Cloudbeds designer. Comments stay connected to the area of the site they refer to, helping keep review feedback clear and organized.

Use this workflow during a website build or revision when you need to submit new feedback, review existing comments, or respond to follow-up directly in the editor.

Open Site Comments

Open your website in the Cloudbeds Websites Editor, then use the Site Comments control in the top navigation to open the comments panel.

  1. From the Cloudbeds Websites Site Overview, select Edit Site.
  2. In the top navigation, select the Site Comments control.

When Site Comments is open, the comments panel appears on the right side of the editor:

Add a Site Comment

Add a comment directly to the section or element that needs attention so your feedback stays connected to the correct part of the website.

  1. Right-click the section or element you want to comment on.
  2. Select Add Comment.

The element menu includes Add Comment with the other actions available for the selected area:

  1. After the comments panel opens, select the exact area where you want the comment marker to appear.
  2. Enter your feedback in the comment field.
  3. If needed, add an image or attachment using the image or paperclip control.
  4. Select Submit.

The comment composer lets you enter feedback, attach supporting files, and submit the comment:

After you submit the comment, a numbered marker appears on the page so the feedback can be located again later.

Leave submitted comments open while working with your Cloudbeds designer. Your designer will resolve each comment after the requested update is applied.

Manage Site Comments

Use a numbered comment marker or the comments panel to review and manage feedback during the website review process.

Manage an individual comment

Select a numbered marker to open its comment. You can review the comment and use the available controls to reply, edit it, or delete it.

The comment menu provides the edit and delete actions for a submitted comment:

You can also reply directly from the comment card:

Although edit and delete actions are available, leave active review comments open when the requested change still needs to be completed by your Cloudbeds designer.

Review and filter comments

Use the comments panel to review comments across the website. The available controls let you review submitted comments, reply, locate feedback on the page, and filter the list by page or status.

Use Filter to narrow the comments shown by status or page:

You can also display resolved comments and reopen a resolved comment when additional follow-up is needed.

Hide comment markers

Hide comment markers when you want to review the page without the numbered markers displayed on the site. Hiding the markers changes only what is shown on the page; it does not remove the comments from the comments panel.

When the markers are hidden, the page remains visible without the numbered comment indicators:

Now that you can submit and manage website review feedback with Site Comments, use these resources for broader Editor navigation and Cloudbeds Websites orientation:
