Using Cloudbeds Without a Smartphone

You do not need a smartphone to maintain a secure Cloudbeds account. We offer several professional-grade alternatives for staff who do not use mobile devices or work in environments where phones are not permitted.

Your Secure Alternatives

If you don't have a smartphone, choose one of these three methods:

1. Hardware Security Keys (USB Keys): You can use a small device like a YubiKey. Simply plug it into your computer's USB port and tap the button when prompted to log in. It’s fast, physical, and highly secure.
2. Desktop Passkeys: If you use a computer with Windows Hello (PIN or Face scan) or a Mac with TouchID, you can save your "security key" directly to your computer.
3. Browser-Based Authentication: Some browser extensions can generate authentication codes directly on your desktop, removing the need for a secondary handheld device.

What to avoid

We recommend avoiding SMS or Email verification if possible. These methods are slower, less secure, and may incur additional costs for your property.
