Using Cloudbeds Without a Smartphone

You do not need a smartphone to maintain a secure Cloudbeds account. We offer several professional-grade alternatives for staff who do not use mobile devices or work in environments where phones are not permitted.

Your Secure Alternatives

If you don't have a smartphone, choose one of these three methods:

1. Hardware Security Keys (USB Keys): You can use a small device like a YubiKey. Plug it into your computer's USB port and tap the button when prompted to log in. It’s fast, physical, and highly secure - no phone or app required.
2. Desktop Passkeys: If you use a Windows computer with Windows Hello (PIN or Face scan) or a Mac with TouchID, you can save a passkey directly to your computer. No phone needed at any point.

What to avoid

Although SMS and Email verification are supported, we highly discourage them. They are generally slower, less secure, and may result in additional costs for your property.
