❗Action Required: Transition your payment workflows before March 31, 2026.
PayU has confirmed that the PayU Hub environment will be permanently shut down on March 31, 2026. Consequently, the PayU integration within Cloudbeds will be discontinued on that date. After this deadline, PayU payments will no longer process through the Cloudbeds platform.
To ensure your property continues to collect payments without interruption, please follow the transition instructions below.
While the automated integration is ending, your data remains accessible:
- Card Storage: All credit cards currently stored in Cloudbeds will remain securely saved in your account.
- Card Visibility: You will still be able to view credit card details for your reservations.
- Manual Processing: You can continue to process payments using an external terminal or processor and manually record those transactions in the Cloudbeds folio.
Transition Scenarios: Choose Your Path
Identify the scenario that best describes how you currently collect payments to see your recommended next steps.
Scenario 1: Booking Engine Payments
Best for properties that rely heavily on direct bookings through their website.
If you want to continue collecting automated payments via your Booking Engine, we recommend the following:
-
For International Guests (PayPal): PayPal processes deposits only within Cloudbeds.
Pro Tip: To collect the full amount at the time of booking, set your Deposit Policy to 100%.
-
For Domestic Guests (Bank Transfer):
Direct guests to send payments to your bank account outside of Cloudbeds.
You must manually record these payments in the folio once confirmed.

Scenario 2: OTA, Phone, Email, or Walk-in Payments
Best for properties receiving cards from Expedia/Booking.com or taking manual entries.
Since Cloudbeds will no longer "talk" to PayU to process these cards, your workflow will change to:
View the guest's credit card details securely in the Cloudbeds reservation.
Process the payment using an external payment processor (such as a physical bank terminal or a local payment provider).
-
Record the payment manually in the Cloudbeds folio to keep your balances accurate.

Scenario 3: Direct Access to PayU Merchant Account
Best for users who already log in to PayU's dashboard separately.
If you have a direct login for your PayU Merchant Account, you can continue to use it independently of Cloudbeds:
Process payments directly within the PayU portal.
Manually record the transaction in Cloudbeds afterward.
Note❗ Cloudbeds will not trigger or track these payments automatically after March 31❗
Which Scenario Should I Follow?
Mostly direct bookings? Start with Scenario 1.
Mostly OTA or manual reservations? Start with Scenario 2.
Already log into PayU today? Review Scenario 3.
We strongly recommend completing your transition well before the March 31 deadline to avoid any disruption to your cash flow.
