Frequently Asked Questions
What is the website onboarding language?
Website onboarding is available in English and Spanish. Portuguese may be available upon request and depending on schedule availability.
A customer is requesting more than 1 language for their website. Is this possible?
We support the multi-language needs of every customer through the Google Translate widget. This is a free feature that is available to all website customers at no additional cost and no limit to the number of languages.
Take note that this widget uses the technology of the widely available google translate service, this means that the widget can provide good translation quality but not perfect. We should not expect localized translation quality, especially if we are looking to translate content from a non-English language to another non-English language. It is important that the customer's expectations are managed.
If specific translations are needed and this is a deal-breaker, we can offer an additional language at the cost of $20 USD per page.
The website designer will record the number of languages on the salesforce website record.
The website designer will be processing the billing request by sending a ticket to the billing team.
The customer wants to have something online as soon as possible while building the actual website in the background. Is this possible?
Yes, this is possible. The customer does have the option to have a Coming Soon page created while the actual website is being built in the background.
This means that customers will have a temporary “Coming Soon” branded website that has the ability to accept reservations or messages via a form that they will receive in their chosen email inbox. They can link this to their social media accounts and begin marketing. Customers will be given access to the Cloudbeds Builder and will have the ability to make adjustments on their own.
This temporary Coming Soon page can be published using the customer's domain - if they do not have an existing website connected to it. If the customer does not have a domain, see domain options below, or they can purchase a domain through our website team.
When will website onboarding begin?
The onboarding of Cloudbeds Websites customers will begin when the Primary Onboarding has completed the minimum required milestones.
- Property Profile
- Accommodation Types
- Website domains - OPTIONS
On July 11, 2024 onwards, Cloudbeds is offering website domain services exclusive to Cloudbeds Websites customers. Click here to learn more: Domain Service Exclusive for Cloudbeds Websites Customers

The best recommended external/third party domain providers for Cloudbeds Websites are: GoDaddy & Google Domains.
When choosing a registrar, make sure the registrar/domain provider the customer chooses supports CNAME records and 301 redirects.
Updating templates: Would the template be updated in the future to meet new web design trends?
We will add new templates to our public library of design templates to fit the new trends in the industry, and provide more options to our growing customer base.
The client has the option to change their template for an additional fee.
Logo - Can you create a logo for a property?
At the moment we do not create logos, if not available, we will use basic fonts.
Do we PROVIDE content writing or is it a third party?
All content needs to be provided by the property. (Photos/images, logos, descriptions, etc.)*
If no content is provided, we will generate filler or temporary content using our AI tools. For further changes to the generated content, the customer may review, polish, and update the content directly.

Who hosts the Analytics side of the website?
The Cloudbeds Website Builder has integrated analytics capabilities to track:
- Total Visitors
- Clicks to Call
- Form Submissions
- Traffic sources for both devices (Desktop/Tablet/Mobile) & how they found the site (ex. google/search, direct, Bing/search, Facebook/social, etc.)
- Browser (Safari, Chrome, etc) and OS (Windows, Mac, iOS, etc.)
- Geolocation (country, visits, visitors, pages, av. visit duration)
- ...and more depending on the site personalization (banners, popups, etc)
There is also an option available for properties to provide their Google Analytics code and review their website traffic from their Google Analytics account. This is free of cost.
How many pages are included in the service?
The service includes 7 free pages. The recommended pages are Home, Rooms, About us, Contact us, Book Now. Additional pages may include Specials, Bar & Restaurant, Attractions, etc.
Aside from the included 7 pages, we offer the following pages as a courtesy - Terms & Conditions and Privacy policy, to ensure site functionality and legal compliance.
The customer has their own Google Analytics that they'd like on the website - is this possible?
Yes, this is possible. Having multiple GA IDs/codes within the website does not cause any conflict with the Amplify team's data or with the customers. If they would like to add their own GA to the website, they simply need to send us the code to be embedded and a website designer will do this for them.

Are the sites secure?
Yes, we offer free SSL for all sites as part of our package.
Can we connect an email marketing platform such as Mailchimp to the sites?
Yes! The basic contact form easily connects to Constant Contact and Mailchimp, and we can connect to many more platforms through the use of Zapier.
Can we hide any pages from search engines?
Yes, we can set individual pages to no-index if you want a page(s) used for internal use or for guests only.
Do Cloudbeds Amplify sites offer FAQ Schema?
Yes! We can enable FAQ schema to maximize your SERP page listing using the accordion widget in the builder. There is a limit to one FAQ Schema per page.
Site Exports - Do we provide this?
Under some circumstances, we can provide the clients with an export file of the site. These, however, are the raw code files (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and will NOT be able to be uploaded or imported into any other DIY platform such as WordPress, Squarespace, WIX, etc. They need a skilled web designer/developer to turn the files into a usable website. The export file will, however, include a “Media” file with all the images/videos that were uploaded to the site.
