Payments Menu Renamed to Finance in Cloudbeds PMS Settings

This update reflects the true purpose of this area, where users configure invoicing, currencies, taxes & fees, and payment options. Nothing in the workflow has changed; only the label.

A Clearer Settings Menu

The only change in this update is the menu label inside Settings:

  • Payments → Finance (Settings Menu only)
  • The update is visual only; all options and workflows remain the same.
  • The Payments Portal continues to be listed as “Payments” in the Main menu.

Why this change?

Many users clicked on Payments in the Settings Menu expecting to open the Cloudbeds Payments Portal. Instead, they landed on the configuration area where they manage invoices, taxes, currencies, and other financial settings.

Renaming the menu item to Finance makes the purpose of this section clearer and helps users find the right area faster, whether they are configuring financial settings or accessing the Payments Portal.

What stays the same?

  • All settings under the renamed menu (now Finance) remain unchanged.
  • No permissions, user roles, or existing workflows are affected by this update.
  • The Payments Portal accessed through the Main menu Main menu icon.pngPayments Payments icon.png remains unchanged.
