Troubleshooting Missing Images on Your Booking Engine

If you've uploaded images for your room types in the Cloudbeds PMS, but they aren't appearing on your booking engine, here are some steps you can follow to resolve the issue.

1. Verify Images Are Correctly Attached

First, double-check that the images have been properly saved to the specific room type. The booking engine only displays images that are linked correctly.

  • Navigate to: Settings Settings icon.pngProperty Property icon.pngAccommodations.
  • Select the specific room type.
  • Go to the Images tab.
  • Make sure the images are selected and that you've clicked Save.

2. Check the Number of Photos

There is a known issue with older versions of the booking engine where the gallery may not display correctly if fewer than five images are uploaded for a single room type.

Solution: We recommend uploading at least 5 photos per room type. Adding more photos often resolves this display issue and ensures the gallery refreshes properly.

3. Clear Your Cache

The booking engine caches images to improve loading speed. Sometimes, a new image won't appear until the cached version is cleared.

  • For You: Clear your browser's cache or wait a few minutes for the system to automatically update.
  • For Your Guests: Advise guests to clear their browser cache, use an incognito window, or simply refresh the page by pressing Ctrl + F5 (or Cmd + R on Mac).

4. Review Image File Requirements

Make sure your image files meet the necessary criteria for the booking engine to display them correctly.

  • File Format: Ensure your images are in a supported format: .JPG, .PNG, or .GIF.
  • File Size: Each image file should be under 10 MB.
  • File Name: Avoid using special characters or complex names. If an image still won't display, try re-uploading it with a simple file name (e.g., room1.jpg).
