Mecx-Tech Doorlock integration overview

Mecx-Tech integration makes issuing key cards seamless after you check in through Cloudbeds PMS. The key cards are issued from an app that is opened after pressing F2 and the staff can choose the number of keys to issue or amend the check-in/check-out times. The key card is automatically disabled at the check-out time. If a key card needs to be replaced, the staff will need to re-issue key cards for the reservation, which will disable any previous key cards.

Limitations

• Mecx-Tech operates on Windows and requires a small integration app to be installed.
• Once your key card is issued, the check-out time programmed on it cannot be changed. If you need to extend your stay and key card access, a new key card will be issued.
• For reservations with multiple rooms that check in on different dates (split bookings), the key card for the first room will be issued at the initial check-in. Key cards for any additional rooms will be created on their respective check-in dates.
• If a key card is lost, for security reasons, all key cards associated with your reservation will need to be re-issued, which will deactivate the lost card and any others previously issued.
