Create a promo code for a 99.9% discount to be used by your loyal customers who have already paid for the booking, but could not stay at your property due to COVID-19. They will be able to use the code in their next booking.
- Open your myfrontdesk account and go to 'Rate Plans & Packages' page
- Click '+New Rate Plan'
- Give an external name (which will be made public) and an internal name (for internal purposes) to your package
- Select 'Derived plan'
- Select the minus sign ("-") and percentage ("%"), since we will give a percentage discount in relation to the base rate
- Promotion Code: Select 'Yes' and enter the code the guests can use to obtain the discount
- Select any add-ons to be included in the package if there are any items or services you can provide
- Select the applicable sources the rate plan in which the rate plan will be available
- Mybookings (Website / Booking Engine)
- Direct Bookings (Walk-In, Phone, Email)
Inclusions: Mention everything that this package includes Ex. Breakfast, Shuttle, etc.
- Policies: Enter the package policies
Ensure that all the terms and conditions of this promotional rate are very clear to avoid any misunderstanding with the guests.
- Image: Upload an image to promote this rate plan
- Under the 'Availability' section, click 'Add Interval'. We will add the periods in which the package is in effect
- Select room types in which this package will apply
- Select the start date of when you are planning to reopen your property to the guests. Then, select the end date of the promotional package
- Enter the restrictions for the package if needed (not mandatory)

- Scroll down and click 'Add Interval'
- Then, click 'Save'
- Lastly, it is also recommended to access your booking engine and test the promo code
