Cloudbeds is releasing an update to the myfrontdesk system in March 2019. This update includes improvements to the invoices module. This tutorial will show you the details of each improvement.
Cloudbeds is now offering the option to generate Compact Invoices, where multiple transactions are consolidated into single lines. Previously, invoices would publish every single transaction, so if a reservation lasted many nights and had many rooms, each nightly rate and each nightly tax (if applicable) would appear on the invoice. This made invoices very long.
From now on, there will be a checkbox on the Invoice Setup page that will allow you to enable/disable Compact invoice feature.
By enabling this option, you will allow the system to consolidate all the transactions under their groups.
Leaving the option unchecked will generate invoices much like a folio. Every transaction (including nightly room prices and taxes) will appear as its own line item. Please see the example below:
Please note that when you need to show a more detailed breakdown of any rooms or items purchased, printing or emailing the full folio is always an option.
If you do not have this option available, please refer to this article to learn how to enable this feature: Invoicing - How to manage and use
Cloudbeds has created a new report that brings all of a property’s invoices into one place. By navigating to the Reports tab -> Financial Reports, a user will find all their invoices.
