reCAPTCHA When Logging Into Your Account and Viewing Credit Card Details

Follow

We are improving security around credit card password retrieval and login page in Cloudbeds. We are using technology provided by Google that is deployed on thousands of websites around the world and used by major financial institutions and other businesses that store sensitive information called reCAPTCHA.

At the bottom right corner of both screens, reCAPTCHA has an algorithm attached to it that attempts to detect the likelihood of someone accessing the page being a human vs a robot by observing the user behavior.

reCAPTCHA on the login page

This security feature works based on how likely the interaction is with a human or a robot and sometimes you may be required by Google to undergo a challenge that asks you to verify you're a human.

Properties Located in China

reCAPTCHA does not work for China - Properties located in China may be required by Google to undergo a challenge that asks you to verify you're a human as shown below.
Typically these challenges can be completed in a few seconds. If you find the challenge too difficult just skip the challenge and move on to the next challenge.
