Connecting HostelCulture with myfrontdesk

This article will show you step-by-step instructions to activate your HostelCulture account with myfrontdesk.

Creating and connecting new HostelCulture account with myfrontdesk

If you do not have an account yet with HostelCulture, you can create an account from within myfrontdesk using our Express Registration feature.

Connection Guide

Step 1: In myfrontdesk go to Channels, search for 'HostelCulture' and click 'Not Setup, Click To Setup'

Step 2: If you wish to create new HostelCulture account from myfrontdesk - click 'NO'
If you already have an existing HostelCulture account click 'YES' and follow the instruction from section 'Connecting existing HostelCulture account with myallocator' below.

Step 3: Choose if you would like to send your inventory to the channel after the connection has been established and agree to the Terms & Conditions

Your HostelCulture account has been created!

Step 4: You will be sent a confirmation e-mail with further instructions to your e-mail address (myfrontdesk registered email address) to confirm the account. 

Click 'Confirm your registration' button from the message, and you will be redirected to HostelCulture page to create account password.

If you try to create a HostelCulture account using the Express Registration feature and already have a HostelCulture account for your property, you will receive the following error:

Step 5. In myfrontdesk go back to Channels page and click on HostelCulture >Setup Completed and then Next.

Step 6. Since you created the HostelCulture account within myfrontdesk, it will automatically input the Hotel ID and Password. Click NEXT.

Step 7: Complete the channel setup and you are done!
1. Map your rooms together and click NEXT
2. Optional - Add a Channel-specific Rate Difference for HostelCulture and click NEXT
3. Leave the box checked to send full refresh to the channel

If you need to add a new room type after you have already created your HostelCulture using the quick connect feature, you will need to manually add the room to HostelCulture and myfrontdesk and map the rooms, starting at step 4.

Connecting existing HostelCulture account with myfrontdesk

Step 1: Login to your HostelCulture back office:
https://admin.hostelculture.com/backoffice/

Step 2: Locate your HostelCulture Property ID
In the example below, the Property ID is: 1234

Step 3: Login to myfrontdesk and go to Channels
Step 4: Navigate to HostelCulture

Step 5: If you have an existing HostelCulture account - click 'YES'
If you have no existing HostelCulture account click 'No' and follow the instruction from section 'Creating and connecting new HostelCulture account with myallocator' above.

Step 6: Enter the login information from Step 2

  1. This is the Property ID you located in Step 2
  2. This is your HostelCulture back office password
  3. Click Next

Step 7: Complete the channel setup and you are done!
1. Map your rooms together and click NEXT
2. Optional - Add a Channel-specific Rate Difference for HostelCulture and click NEXT
3. Leave the box checked to send full refresh to the channel
