This article will show how to set up dorms.com to connect with myfrontdesk.

*If you do not have an account yet with Dorms.com, you can create an account from within myfrontdesk using our Express Registration feature

Creating and connecting new Dorms.com account to myfrontdesk

If you do not have an account yet with Dorms.com, you can create an account from within myfrontdesk using our Express Registration feature:

Make sure your property email is listed correctly in Cloudbeds. Dorms.com pulls it from Cloudbeds and will not allow you to create your account with the Express Registration Feature without this information being entered.

1. Log into myfrontdesk by Cloudbeds and click Manage
2. Navigate to Channel Distribution and select Channels
3. Select Dorms.com

4. 'Do you have an existing account on Dorms.com?' - select 'NO'
*If you have an existing account on Dorms.com, go to section 'Connecting existing Dorms.com account to myfrontdesk' in this article below.

5. Select YES or NO to 'Would you like your inventory to be sent to the channel after the connection is established?' and accept terms & conditions.
Click 'Create Dorms.com account'

6. You will see a notification about Dorms.com account successfully created: You will see the ID and password that has been created for your Dorms.com account as well as room ID's. Please store this information for later use.
Click on the link provided:

7. In another window, navigate to the Dorms.com Extranet and confirm your property details to finish the registration of your property on Dorms.com

  • After you have successfully created your Dorms.com account through myfrontdesk, you will receive an email from Dorms.com with a link to the registration process on the Dorms.com Extranet
  • On Dorms.com you will see a note that you've connected to 'myallocator'. Myallocator is a channel manager for myfrontdesk.

8. After confirming registration on Dorms.com return to myfrontdesk and go back to Channels > Dorms.com
Since you created the Dorms.com account within myfrontdesk, it will automatically input the Hotel ID and Password.

9. Map your rooms

10. Enter a Base Rate Adjustment (if desired):

In most cases, this can be left blank.  Click here to learn more about the: Setting Base Rate Adjustments

11. Channel Setup is Complete. Leave the box checked to send full refresh after confirming mapping.

Connecting existing Dorms.com account to myfrontdesk

1. Connect myallocator (Cloudbeds channel manager) within Dorms.com

2. Connect Dorms.com with myfrontdesk

2.1 Log into myfrontdesk by Cloudbeds and click Manage
2.2 Navigate to Channel Distribution and select Channels
2.3 Select Dorms.com

2.4. 'Do you have an existing account on Dorms.com?' - select 'YES'
*If you haven't existing account on Dorms.com, go to section 'Connecting existing Dorms.com account to myfrontdesk' in this article above.

2.5 Enter your Dorms.com Hostel ID and Password and hit next:

This can be found in your Dorms.com Extranet. Under Channel Manager hit Setup Information and a window will pop up with this information

3. Map your rooms

4. Enter a Base Rate Adjustment (if desired):

5. Channel Setup is Complete

6. On your channel summary page you’ll be able to see that setup for the channel has been completed successfully
