Modify Booking.com Reservations within Cloudbeds PMS

You can modify the stay date and prices for Booking.com reservations directly within Cloudbeds. 
This enhancement provides greater flexibility, ensuring a smoother booking management process while reducing manual effort and compliance concerns. Find below how to enable this feature and the requirements to use it.

Enable the Stay Date Change feature 

To enable the feature, Booking.com channel needs to be enabled in the Distribution page.

  1. Access the Account Settings Settings blue icon.png
  2. Go to Preferences tab (General System Settings)
  3. Under Booking Preferences, switch the toggle on to Allow OTA stay date change (only for Booking.com)
  4. Click to save.

Requirements to Modify Booking.com Reservations 

The reservation stay date and/or price can be updated and synced with the channel if:

  • The check-in date is today or has already passed;
  • The reservation is Hotel Payment Collect type;
  • The stay length is at least 1 night;
  • If the reservation is non-refundable, the new price must not be lower than the original price.
  • The status of the reservation allows modifications:
    • Checked-in
    • Confirmation
    • Confirmation Pending
  • Statuses that do not allow modifications:
    • No Show
    • Canceled
    • Checked-out

If the reservation is eligible for the update, you will see the following notification while quick editing the reservation in Cloudbeds PMS:

From there, you can quickly edit the details you need, and the information will sync directly with Booking.com.

  • This update sounds really helpful — love the added flexibility! One question I have is regarding Booking.com commission: if a guest originally books 3 nights and we modify the reservation in Cloudbeds to extend the stay by 2 additional nights, will Booking.com charge commission on the entire 5-night stay, including the extra nights added through Cloudbeds?

    Just want to make sure we’re clear on how commission is handled for modifications made within the PMS. Thanks in advance!
