Configure and Manage LINE Business Messaging

Line is a messaging channel primarily popular in APAC, including countries like Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, and Indonesia. You can integrate your official LINE Business account to Cloudbeds Guest Experience and exchange messages with your guests directly in Cloudbeds PMS. Below, check out how to configure LINE Business messaging in Cloudbeds Guest Experience.

Things to note before getting started

You can use the same LINE Business Account across multiple Cloudbeds Guest Experience accounts. In case you opt for using the same Line account for your properties:

  • When an inbound message from a guest is received, it will populate in all Cloudbeds Guest Experience accounts simultaneously;
  • When a user from a Cloudbeds Guest Experience account responds, the response will appear in every other Cloudbeds Guest Experience account as well.

Step 1 - Create a LINE Business Account

If you do not have a Line Business Account, click here to create one.

Step 2 - Enable LINE Messaging API

  1. Login to your Line Business account 
  2. Go to the Messaging API section
  3. Click to Enable Messaging API

Step 3 - Register Developer Info and Provider

  1. Enter the details of the technical contact at your property
  2. Click to Agree

  1. Enter Cloudbeds into the New Provider field
  2. Click to Agree

The Messaging API is enabled.

Step 4 - Configure the Webhook URL into the LINE Messaging API

  1. In the Messaging API page, enter the following URL into the Webhook URL field: https://api.whistle.cloudbeds.com/line/webhooks
  2. Click to save.

A Channel ID and a Channel Secret will be provided. Save this information to use in the Cloudbeds Guest Experience configuration steps.

Step 5 - Issue a LINE Channel Access Token

  1. Go to the Line Developers page
  2. Click on the console icon
  3. Click to open the Cloudbeds provider

  1. In the Channels tab, click on your property

 

 

  1. Navigate to the Webhook settings in the Messaging API section
  2. Enable the option Use Webhook
  3. Scroll down until the Channel access token
  4. Click on the Issue button to issue a token.

Save the token information for the next steps.

Step 6 - Enable LINE Messaging in Cloudbeds Guest Experience

  1. Access the Company company.pngpage
  2. Go to Messaging Services
  3. Switch the toggle on to enable Line messaging
  4. Click to edit settings

  1. Enter the details provided in the previous steps:
    • LINE Channel ID
    • LINE Channel Secret 
    • LINE Channel Access Token
  2. Save settings.

You are all set. Share the QR Code from your Messaging API section and start communicating with your guests in Cloudbeds Guest Experience!
