Enable Instagram Messaging in Cloudbeds Guest Experience

You can integrate your Instagram messages into Cloudbeds Guest Experience and manage your messages directly from within the Cloudbeds Guest Experience dashboard. 

  • This integration is only available for the following accounts:
    • Any Instagram Professional account for a Business.
    • Any Instagram Professional account for a Creator.
    • If needed, check how to switch your account to a professional here.

Step 1 - Allow access to your messages on Instagram

  1. Open the Privacy  settings on your Instagram account
  2. Go to Messages
  3. Under Connected Tools, switch the toggle on to allow access to messages.

Step 2 - Enable Instagram Messaging on Cloudbeds Guest Experience

  1. In the Company pagemceclip5.png, go to the Messaging Services
  2. Search for Instagram and click to Edit Settings

The Instagram connection is ready to be used in Cloudbeds Guest Experience messaging:

Inbox Limitations

  • This integration is based on Facebook messaging rules. Therefore, you can only message guests who initiate a conversation, and you have 24 hours to reply to the guest.
  • Group messaging is not supported. An Instagram Professional account can only converse with one customer per conversation.
  • Inbox folders are not supported.
  • Webhooks notifications or messages delivered via the API will not be considered as "read" in the Instagram app inbox. Only after a reply is sent will a message be considered "read".
