Setting different rates for one room type is what we refer to as Rate Plans.
Not all distribution channels support rate plans, while others offer extremely customizable features for varied pricing. To allow the greatest level of flexibility, Cloudbeds PMS sends out a single standard Best Available Rate (BAR) across all your channels. This helps ensure a consistent sync across your multiple OTAs.

The rate plans and packages settings available in myfrontdesk are only for your booking engine mybookings and direct reservations.
How it works
Cloudbeds PMS sends the standard rate (BAR) of your accommodations to Booking.com. Once your Booking.com account is properly configured, you can create various rate plans based on the BAR.
Example
- Private Room with occupancy 2 person
- Base available rate (BAR) sent from myfrontdesk: 1500
In Booking.com, you could then have the following rates derived and displayed to your customers:
Pricing per guest
- 1 Person: Base rate (1500)
- 2 People: Base rate +200 (1700)
Pricing per guest allows you to tailor your room or unit rate based on the number of guests staying in it. It's easy to set up and update directly on the Extranet. Follow the steps to enable it in this Booking.com help guide: Setting up and updating pricing per guest
Rate plans available on Booking.com
Rate Plans can be created and edited on Booking.com extranet. Follow steps in Booking.com article: Setting up a new rate plan
- Standard Rate: Managed by myfrontdesk (XML enabled)
- Last Minute Rate: Standard rate -10% (restrictions applied)
- Non-Refundable: Standard rate -10€ (different policies)
Booking.com rate plan inside Cloudbeds PMS
When the rate plan is XML Enabled, it can be configured inside Booking.com channel mapping in Cloudbeds PMS, however, the configuration can only be done by percentage (%) (e.g. 10% higher than the base rate) and not fixed amount (e.g. the base rate +10 USD).
If you'd like to set up the rate plan using the fixed amount, the rate plan has to be configured directly on Booking.com extranet with further assistance of your Booking.com account manager.
