How to Edit Check-in / Check-out Dates and Room Rates

In this article you will learn how to change the check in or check out dates for both "Direct reservations" and "Third-Party reservations"

If you want to edit a third-party reservations (coming from OTAs) please take into consideration the following:

1. Decreasing the length of stay - we advise you to modify the reservation on the extranet, as that will lower your channel commission fee.

Please note that not all the OTAs support sending modifications to Cloudbeds. Full list of channel's features (including modifications) can be found here.

2. Increasing the length of stay - please follow the below-mentioned steps

Editing the Room Rate

Option 1 - Edit Price button

Please note that the steps below only apply for future reservations. If you need to update past reservations rates (already posted to guest's folio), please check out this article: How to Adjust Charge / Add Adjustment to a Reservation

1 - Access the reservation that you need to edit and click on the gear icon

2 - Click on 'Edit Price'

3 - Update the future dates price as needed

4 - Click on 'Save Updates'

Option 2 - Edit Reservation button

Please note that the steps below only apply for future reservations. If you need to update past reservations rates (already posted to guest's folio), please check out this article: How to Adjust Charge / Add Adjustment to a Reservation

1 - Access the reservation that you need to edit and hit "Edit Reservation" button

2- On the left side, click on the Accommodation to edit

3 - Click on 'Edit' on the corresponding room type line. In this example, we are using the 'Private Room'

4 - Edit the room rates as needed

5 - Once you finish, click on 'Apply'

6 - Then, click on Update

Click on 'Save Updates' on the bottom right side to save your changes

You're done!

Editing the reservation date

Option 1 - Quick Edit

This option will be useful for extending reservations for a short period of time.

1 - Access the reservation that you need to edit and click on the gear icon

2 - Click on 'Quick Edit'

3 - Modify the reservation's date by checking/unchecking the checkboxes and select the new reservation date

4 - Click on 'Save Updates'

Please note that you need to select connected dates - It's not possible to have gaps between the selected dates.

Option 2 - Edit Reservation

This option will be useful for long stays

1 - Access the appropriate reservation and click to "Edit Reservation"

2 - On the left side, select the room 

3 - Select the new check in and check out dates

4 - Click on "Search" to check the availability

5- Select the room and click on "Update"(If desired, you can also switch the room type)

6- The reservation will be updated on the left side - double check if everything is correct

7. Please, make sure to click on "Save Updates"
