Adding (Importing) Reservations Using The Quick Import Tool

Bulk Importing Reservations

Transferring over from a previous system and want to add a lot of reservations quickly? Our Quick Import tool is the perfect way to streamline your myfrontdesk setup experience.

The quick import tool is located on the reservations page and also through the "Import Reservations" page of the interactive Setup Guide inside your account.

Adding your reservations is the final step to set up myfrontdesk before you move on to activating myallocator distribution.

Navigate to the reservations page and click on the "Bulk Import Reservations" icon

Choose optional fields

All fields marked with a red asterisk are mandatory, but you can decrease the number of optional fields by clicking on "all columns" and choosing from the list. The following choices are available:

  • Amount Paid
  • Payment Type
  • Phone
  • Address 1
  • Address 2
  • Country
  • State
  • Zip Code
  • Third Party Res #

Note: For PCI compliance and financial security reasons, you cannot add credit card details through this form. Any CC details will need to be added on the reservation summary page.

Fill out the information for the reservation

Begin a new reservation line by clicking the "Add Reservations" button. You can press the tab button on your keyboard as you finish each section to progress to the next field.

Edit the cost for specific days:

Click on the edit icon in the total price field to modify based on specific days.

Add extra rooms or beds

If a reservation you are adding is for multiple rooms, including of the same type, you'll need to add each of them and the date range by clicking on the green "+" sign.

  • To remove an added line on a reservation, click on the red "x"
  • To completely remove a reservation click on the green "-" sign.

If you are adding a reservation for multiple dorm beds:

Add each dorm bed reserved as a separate line as shown in the red box below and set the number of adults for each bed as 1. Entering only the first line and adding multiple adults will not properly update your availability. Incorrectly entering the details of your reservations could lead to potential over bookings.

If you are adding a reservation for multiple dorm beds:

Click the save button in the bottom right corner to fully add a reservation

  • A green check mark will appear to the left of the reservation's name when it has been successfully added.
