Charge extra people in your direct bookings
Charges for additional people are reflected only for direct bookings and the booking engine. For channels such as Booking.com and Expedia, the extra person charges must be made directly with your extranet channel, or requested directly to your account manager.
You may configure extra person charge using Base Rate menu (1.) or Availability Matrix (2.)
Before you start please make sure you configured your Accommodation types so that Maximum occupancy is more than Adults or Children included in the price.
1. Adding additional person charges via Base Rates page
Navigate to Rates and Availability > Base Rates
Click on Add Interval or Edit an existing one
Select Yes to open additional person pricing menu.
Enter your per day prices
And don't forge to save!
2. Adding additional person charges via Base Rates page
Navigate to Rates and Availability > Availability Matrix
Click to add a long term interval
Configure your interval and select Per Person Pricing
Add your prices and click Add interval
Tip: If needed you can add multiple date ranges
Don't forget to save!
To enable the display of Per person pricing select it under Display Options
You can change the prices directly in Availability Matrixby confirming them
-Booking.com: this is called "Derived prices" - you will have to tell your account manager that cloudbeds will send the base rate for "X" person and ask them to add the price for the extra adult (tell them the price per adult). This prices must be derived to "up"
-Expedia: this is called "Extra Person Fee" - you will have to tell your account manager that cloudbeds will send the base rate for "X" person and ask them to add the price for the extra adult (tell them the price per extra adult).
For other channels, please check with your account manager how to do this settings.
