How to make a Room Move (split rooms)

This article will walk you through the steps on how to modify reservation that has split reservations during their stay.

Step 1: Log into myfrontdesk by Cloudbeds

Step2: Select the Detailed Guest Reservation Screen

1) Click on the Green Edit Reservation button

Notes:

  • The solid line in between reservations means that particular reservation does not have a split accommodation during their stay.
  • The dotted line with the flag symbol represent that particular reservation has split accommodations and will require room moves during their stay.

 

How to edit a specific accommodation with in reservation

1) To Modify a specific accommodation under the reservation, click on that particular accommodation

2) Enter the modified Check In & Check Out Dates

3) Ensure that the view option is set to SPLIT - (automatically defaults to simple view)

4) Click the Green Search Button to check for availability

5) Select the room types and dates that need to be modified, once you select room types/dates it will automatically populate below in the reservations section

6) Modify rates if applicable, enter adults/child counts and the number of rooms for each accommodation

7) Click add to update the accommodations. Please note if you do not click add, you will not be able to proceed in the modification of reservation

8) Click on UPDATE to confirm all changes to reservations.

Note: During the modification process the accommodation section on the left hand-side of screen will show original reservations until the ADD is selected. Once that is done then it will automatically update the accommodations section on the left of screen with the updates for review. The Blue UPDATE button on the bottom right will update and confirm reservations modifications.

1) Click on the GREEN + button next to accommodations if you wish to add NEW room accommodations, to the exsisting reservation.

  • This will open up the availability screen to check room availability

2) Enter the modified Check In & Check Out Dates

3) Ensure that the view option is set to SPLIT - (automatically defaults to simple view)

4) Click the Green Search Button to check for availability

5) Select the room types and dates that need to be modified, once you select room types/dates it will automatically populate below in the reservations section

6) Modify rates if applicable, enter adults/child counts and the number of rooms for each accommodation

When you put your mouse over a specific reservations it will highlight all splits associated with that partiular reservation ID.
