How can I be sure that employees have no access to data from the guests credit card?
In many cases you only want certain types of users to see the guests credit card info, this tutorial will show you how to control access to that info.
Step 1: Users Area
In your Dashboard, click "Settings" icon and then Users
Step 2: Viewing Users
In the "Manage Users" tab, identify which users can not access to credit card data and check the position he has in the system
Step 3: User Roles
In the example above, the user has the role Administrator. To verify that this position has authorization to view credit card data, click on the tab "User Roles" and then click the "Edit" next to the role that the employee has.
Step 4: User Configurations
On this screen, you can identify what are the roles that the user can perform. Navigate to the payment section and you will see 2 options:
1: "View Credit Card Information and Modify/Void Transactions" - This option will allow this user role view and modify guests credit card info.
2: "Recieving Payments Processing Emails" - When payment processing is enabled this user role will recieve emails about the transactions that have occured.
Step 5: Disable item
To disable the display of guests' credit cards, disable the item "View Credit Card Data" in the "Payments" column.
Do the same procedure with all user roles that you woud NOT want permission to view the card data.
