I need a website, where can I get one?

If you don't already have a website or would like to design a new one, we recommend creating a site through one of the options listed below.

Mybookings, the Cloudbeds booking engine, is compatible with most standard design templates. This means that you can take reservations directly through your website and the reservations will go into myallocator and myfrontdesk seamlessly.

WordPress.com:

  • URL: https://wordpress.com/
  • How they describe themselves: "Create a free website or easily build a blog on WordPress.com. Hundreds of free, customizable, mobile-ready designs and themes. Free hosting and support."
  • Note: you can embed Mybookings iframe into Wordpress page, learn here more about Mybookings iframe: Using an iframe with mybookings

Squarespace:

  • URL: https://www.squarespace.com/
  • How they describe themselves: "Whether you need a powerful landing page, striking galleries, a professional blog, or an online store, it's all included with your Squarespace website. Best of all, everything is mobile-ready right from the start."

Wix:

  • URL: http://www.wix.com/
  • How they describe themselves: "Create a free website with Wix.com. Customize with Wix' free website builder, no coding skills needed. Choose a design, begin customizing and be online today!"
  • Note: If you are a myfrontdesk customer, you will want to make sure to not use Wix's booking engine since it also functions as a PMS, which will cause availability and rates issues. For further information, click here.

Tumblr:

  • URL: https://www.tumblr.com/
  • How they describe themselves: "Post anything (from anywhere!), customize everything, and find and follow what you love. Create your own Tumblr blog today."
  • Note: Tumblr is primarily a microblogging and social networking platform, but they do offer the ability to use a custom domain and configure your blog so that it functions as an actual website. Good fit for smaller hostels already engaged in social media.
