Is it necessary to have a SKU number for all items?


This article will describe to users why SKU numbers are a mandatory field when building Items in myfrontdesk.

Step 1: Log into myfrontdesk by Cloudbeds

Step 2: Click on "Settings" gear icon - Items

Step 2: Click on "Settings" gear icon - Items

Step 3: Click on Items Tab and select "+NEW ITEM"

Step 4: SKU Field

SKU stands for Stock Keeping Unit. A SKU is a number or string of alpha and numeric characters that uniquely identifies a product.

For this reason, SKU's are often called part numbers, product numbers and product identifiers.

This is a required field in order to proceed. Please assign the correct SKU number to the product. Should there not be a SKU number, click the TAB button and the system will automatically assign a SKU number for the new item.
