FAQ
Is our software NF525 certified?
Our software is currently undergoing the certification process with BYCYB, which confirms full compliance with the French anti-fraud law (Article 88, 2016 Finance Law). Previously, this certification process was commonly managed by LNE (Laboratoire National de Métrologie et d’Essais), which also verified compliance with the same regulations.
It’s important to note that NF525 is not the regulation itself — it’s a brand name for a certification label managed by AFNOR/InfoCert. The law allows several accredited certification bodies, including BYCYB (COFRAC + ANSSI) and previously LNE, to verify and certify compliance.
In other words, a BYCYB certificate (or previously an LNE certificate) and an NF525 certificate both prove that the software meets all official French requirements for secure, tamper-proof sales recording and tax data integrity.
- BYCYB, the accredited certification body (COFRAC + ANSSI), has confirmed that the Cloudbeds system is currently under audit.
- The attestation received is valid until August 31, 2026, and can be shared with clients upon request as proof of compliance progress.
- This ensures we remain aligned with French fiscal regulations while the certification is being finalized.
If you have questions about Cloudbeds’ compliance status in France, please contact our Support team. If you need documentation for review, we can share the BYCYB attestation and written confirmation that the audit is in progress and compliance requirements are being met.
