E-Invoicing

Current Mandates

The Comprobante Fiscal Electronico requires all businesses in Argentina to issue export invoices electronically for all transactions, including sales and purchases. The AFIP ( Administracin Federal de Ingresos Pblicos)manages the system, which oversees tax collection and compliance in the country.

All taxpayers registered for VAT or the simplified regime and exempt entities must issue electronic invoices.

Invoices type A, B, C, and E; Receipts type A, B, C, and E; Credit notes type A, B, C, and E; Debit notes type A, B, C, and E.

Issuers must obtain from the tax authority an Electronic Authorization Code (CAE)The archiving Period is of 5 years from the expiry of the statute of limitations of the relevant financial year (10 to 12 years).
