Create a user and connect FACT account to Tax Authority

To create a user login with your company data on the Tax Authority portal – portaldasfinancas.gov.pt and follow the instructions below.

1. On the home page of the Finance Portal, click on the option Todos os Serviços.
2. Locate the option GESTÃO DE UTILIZADORES and click on it.
3. Then click on the button CRIAR UM NOVO UTILIZADOR.

4. Enter the name for this user. This field is merely informative, it allows you to identify one or more authorized users on your Finance Portal.
5. Enter a password for this user following the authority rules:
   • At least 8 characters;
   • At least one uppercase letter (A–Z);
   • At least one lowercase letter (a–z);
   • At least one digit (0–9);
   • At least one special character (for example: /, *, #, %).
6. Select the type of credential:
   WFA - Webservice de Comunicação de Dados de Facturas
   WSE - Comunicação e Gestão de Séries por webservice
7. By clicking on SUBMETER, the user is successfully created.

Insert the credentials in the Fact.pt portal

Now you need to enter the respective credentials in the Fact Portal:

1. Access Definições
2. Empresa -> Credenciais
3. Click Adicionar
4. Select the type of credential Comunicação AT – Séries.
5. Seguinte

6. Enter your user and password.
   Nome da credencial: it is an optional field.

Get series codes automatically

Follow the steps below to get the codes for your series (CBAPI):

1. Empresa
2. Séries
3. Ver
4. Gerir códigos de validação.

5. Select the option Configurar sincronização com Autoridade Tribuátia.

6. Without changing anything, just click on Obter códigos.

7. After a few seconds, all types of documents in the respective series will have the code assigned as shown below:
