Customize sections and anchor links in Cloudbeds Websites

Purpose	Add and reuse page sections and create anchor links in the Cloudbeds Websites Editor.
Best for	Manager/GM and Admin users who edit a Cloudbeds Website.
Use this when	You want to add a section, reuse an existing section, or create navigation to a specific part of a page.
Requirements	A Cloudbeds Website open in the Cloudbeds Websites Editor.
Expected result	You can add and reuse sections and create, link, edit, or delete anchors on your website.

Introduction

Use the Cloudbeds Websites Editor to add page sections, reuse existing sections, and create anchor links that send visitors directly to specific content on a page. This article covers the Editor 2.0 workflows confirmed for these customization tasks.

Add sections

Sections are content areas you can add to a page. In Editor 2.0, select + Add Section, then choose from Layouts, Designed, or AI-Generated options.

Select + Add Section where you want to add content.
Select the section option you want to use.

The section menu shows the available creation options.

Section option	What happens next
Layouts	Choose a layout for the new section.
Designed	Browse the designed section options available in the editor.
AI-Generated	Open the AI panel on the right side of the editor.

Choose a layout

Select Layouts, then choose one of the available section layouts. The layout selector displays the available column arrangements for the new section.

Choose a designed section

Select Designed to browse the available section designs. Choose a section from the available categories, then use Create Section, Save Section, or Save & Add Another as shown in the editor.

The designed-section view includes section categories, available designs, preview controls, and the options to create or save the section.

Use the AI-generated option

Select AI-Generated. The AI panel opens on the right side of the editor, where you can enter a request for a new section.

Copy and paste a section

Copy and paste lets you reuse an existing section instead of recreating it.

Select the section you want to reuse.
Open the section options and select Copy.

The section options menu includes the Copy action for the selected section.

Open the section options where you want to reuse the section.
Select Paste.

After a section has been copied, the section options menu includes the Paste action.

Create and manage anchor links

Anchor links send visitors directly to a specific section of a page. Use the workflows below to add an anchor, link content to an existing anchor, or edit or delete an anchor.

Add an anchor

Add an anchor to a section or widget that you want visitors to reach directly.

Right-click the section or widget where you want to create the anchor.
Select Set as Anchor.

The section options menu shows Set as Anchor before the anchor has been created.

Enter the Anchor name.
If you want the anchor available in the site's navigation, select Add this to the site's navigation.
Select Add.

The Set as anchor window includes the anchor name field, site navigation option, and Add button.

Link to an anchor

You can open the link settings from linked text or a button, or from a section's options.

Open the link settings using one of these paths:
- When adding a text or button link, select the Link icon.
- Or, right-click a section and select Add Link.

When editing text, the Link icon appears in the text toolbar.

From a section, you can also open the link settings by selecting Add Link from the section options.

Select Anchor.
Select the Page.
Select the Anchor.

The Add Link panel lets you select Anchor, then choose the page and anchor destination.

Edit or delete an anchor

Use Edit Anchor when you need to rename an existing anchor or remove it.

Right-click the widget or section that contains the anchor.
Select Edit Anchor.

The section options menu shows Edit Anchor when an anchor already exists.

Edit the anchor name and select Update to save the change.
To remove the anchor instead, select Delete anchor.

The Edit Anchor Point window includes the anchor name, Update, and Delete anchor controls.
