Whistle Messaging - How to Enable Airbnb Messaging Integration

With Airbnb Messaging integration, you are able to send and receive messages from guests contacting you through Airbnb. Check in this article how to enable this integration.

Things to note before enabling Airbnb Messaging

Only the main host account logged in Airbnb can connect to the channel in Cloudbeds PMS, be sure you have the permission to connect Airbnb before moving forward with the integration in Whistle for Cloudbeds.

How to Enable Airbnb Messaging Integration in Whistle for Cloudbeds

If you are not connected to Airbnb in Cloudbeds yet or if you have to include messaging permissions to the connection

In Whistle for Cloudbeds,

  1. Go to the Company page
  2. Open Messaging Services
  3. Click to Edit Settings in Airbnb option
  1. Click to + Connect Account
  1. Login to your Airbnb Host account

You will be presented with a page to accept permission on behalf of Whistle for Cloudbeds:

  1. Click on the checkbox agreeing to the Airbnb Terms of Service and Allow.

The connection is complete and Airbnb Messaging is ready for use.

You should see a new status in the Airbnb settings in Whistle for Cloudbeds: Connected and the toggle Enabled.

If you are already connected to Airbnb in Cloudbeds and have the messaging permissions enabled

In Whistle for Cloudbeds,

  1. Go to the Company page
  2. Open Messaging Services
  3. Click to Edit Settings in Airbnb option

The channel should be displayed as Connected,

  1. Switch the toggle on the right to Enabled

Airbnb Messaging is ready to be used.
