How to Void an Item


You may need to void an item for different reasons: it was added by mistake or the guest changed his mind etc. Please, check the article below for the instructions on how to void a previously added item from the reservation.

In order to void an item, follow the steps below:

  1. Access the applicable reservation and navigate to Folio
  2. Click on settings icon in front of the applicable transaction and choose to Void Transaction
  3. Carefully read the message in the pop-out window and click CONTINUE

Voided transactions will still be shown in the transactions report but they will not influence the balance due.

As a result, the transaction will be voided and will disappear from the folio:

There is no specific time frame when you can or can not void an item, it can be voided at any time and while having any reservation status.

Where can I see voided transactions?

Please, follow the steps below in order to find voided transactions:

  1. Go to Reports
  2. Click on Financial Reports
  3. Then access the Transactions report
  4. All voided transactions and Items are accessible in the report and noted in the description field
