Overview
A pixel (1x1) is a tiny code that sends data from the booking engine to a third-party app that collects and manages it. The third-party app (in this case, Sojern) will provide the code, which usually needs to be modified with macros/variables applicable to the booking engine.
This article explains how to implement Sojern pixels.
Before getting started
- Contact Sojern to get the most up-to-date version of the Pixel Snippet container for your Cloudbeds Booking Engine.
- Review the detailed steps of the pixels implementation: Pixel_Implementation_Guide_-_Sojern.pdf
Implement Sojern pixels
For the Classic Booking Engine (old version)
- In the Account Menu, go to the Settings and click on Booking Engine
- Go to the Customize tab
- Place the Search pixel (of the Sojern Implementation Guide) in the Custom Meta Tags (Confirmation Page only) section
- Paste the Conversion pixel (of the Sojern Implementation Guide above) in the JavaScript Code (Confirmation Page Only)
- Click Save
For Booking Engine Plus (new version)
- Remember to contact Sojern's Support Team for more information about the latest version of the pixel for the Booking Engine Plus.
- If needed, consider reverting back to the classic Booking Engine so there's no loss of data. To go back to the old Booking Engine version, simply click back on the Revert to old version button within the same Summary tab.
- One of the main differences between the classic (old) Booking Engine and the Booking Engine Plus is that the latter doesn't have a Confirmation Page customization field. Learn more about the customization differences between the old and the new Cloudbeds Booking Engine.
Reach out to the Sojern Support Team if you have any questions about the pixels implementation.
