Implement Sojern Pixels for the Cloudbeds Booking Engine

Overview

A pixel (1x1) is a tiny code that sends data from the booking engine to a third-party app that collects and manages it. The third-party app (in this case, Sojern) will provide the code, which usually needs to be modified with macros/variables applicable to the booking engine.

This article explains how to implement Sojern pixels.

Implement Sojern pixels in Cloudbeds Booking Engine Plus

 Important Considerations

Contact Sojern's Support Team to ensure you have the correct pixel version for the Booking Engine Plus.

Note: The system supports one GTM container at a time. The Sojern GTM ID (GTM-N8XN873L) should only be placed if the field is empty. If the GTM Container ID field in your settings is already populated, do not overwrite it. Contact your Sojern Account Manager for specific implementation guidance in these cases.

Step-by-step guide

These instructions detail the implementation of Sojern's GTM container within the Cloudbeds Booking Engine Plus. Kindly note that successful integration relies on the proper setup of Sojern's Google Tag Manager Container.

  1. In your Account Menu Account menu icon.png, go to Settings Settings icon.png, and access the Booking Engine section
  2. Click on Analytics
  3. Enter your Analytics information:
    1. In Select analytics, select GTM Connection
    2. In the GTM Container ID field, enter the following GTM ID: GTM-N8XN873L

Requirement: This field should only be used if it is currently empty. If a code is already present, reach out to your Sojern Account Manager before proceeding.

  4. Click on Save

Important: Notify your Sojern Account Manager once the implementation steps are complete. Sojern will ensure that the pixel has been implemented correctly and that all values are being collected as intended.

Reach out to the Sojern Support Team if you have any questions about the pixels implementation.

The Sojern Account Manager is the primary point of contact for properties that already utilize a GTM container and require custom integration to ensure the Sojern GTM ID does not conflict with existing tags.
